Meet the CrossFit Tampa Bay Coaches

Athlete safety is our main priority, so every athlete will receive personalized and dedicated guidance on scaling and customizing each workout to your abilities and ever-evolving needs, as well as training throughout the class (and before or after if needed!) to continue to improve your skills, form, and help you achieve your fitness goals! Our CrossFit Tampa Bay Community comprises top competing athletes and those just starting their fitness journey, what makes our coaches and community different? We are a family that makes you feel comfortable while you step outside your comfort zone.

Coach/Co-Owner Paul CF-OL1
Paul’s CrossFit journey started over ten years ago at the original CFTB, where it was love at first WOD, the thrill of competition drew him in, but what truly hooked him was the family he found through the community, and how supportive everyone was of each other (and still is!).
In January 2024, his good friend Juancho came to him with an opportunity he couldn’t refuse: Purchase the box that for the last 10 years had been his home. An easy decision, especially after getting four coaches on board to be partners in running and building the gym into an even greater space for people of all fitness levels.
Outside of the box, he’s husband to the beautiful and incredibly amazing Kelly Carr who together are raising their three sons and daughter. In addition to CrossFit, they are a Karate family. Paul also owns and operates a countertop company and co-owns a general contracting company with his father.
